***Hooked On Corvettes*** HOD/Abel Chevrolet Track Day***
The Annual Hooked on Corvettes all Corvette track day is coming up. This year's event has been moved to Thursday May 11th instead of later in October. All local Corvette owners, or friends of Corvette owners should really consider giving this a try. HOD is the premier track day group and offers some of the best one on one instruction to get you comfortable on track.
As always, Abel Chevrolet has partnered with Hooked on Driving to help make it a great day for all our mutual Corvette customers. We will have Jim and Chad on site providing track support and helping with repairing parts. We will also have all the common parts that need replacing while on track.
See the following link to sign up and let us know if you plan to make it. We will also be hanging around Friday to take advantage of two track days back to back.
Don't forget there is a lunch run the day before that starts in Williams and ends at the track. Link to that drive https://www.hookedondriving.com/hook...driving-events
Link to the actual track day...

Is this the same Rich who owns an SSG ACR? If so, small world. lol. Are you going?
Thanks for the offer. I just picked up a new to me C5Z, bone stock with original tires! lol. So there is a laundry list of things to do to get the car track ready. Tires, brakes, fluids etc. And a few more like to haves before the first track day. We'll see how it goes.
Glad to see we have a few takers and thanks for everyone posting up if you can make it.
Is there anything we can help you get sorted out? If so, please let me know.

I'll be there with a couple of more friends that always go. Don't discount the fact that Abel Chevrolet brings a crew and parts with them. They saved my bacon last year when my C6Z burned a rear wheel hub and had it replaced in no time. Thanks again to Rich and his crew.

Yah, it's me. I bought a '16 Z06 A8 for fun & commuting, the ACR is the track car. Running Sonoma on May 14 with Todd et. al., so I'll miss this HOD day even if it's opened up to non-Corvettes.
For work on the Z06, I go to (the other) Rich on this thread, at Abel Chevrolet... if you ask around, they come VERY highly recommended

Awesome DD. Vettes are definitely better on the street. Good move.
I'm sure you will have a blast at Sonoma with the gang. I need more skills before driving that one in anger. Too many walls for me. lol.
Can't wait to see what this Z06 will do.

Questions from a Noob
What is the appropriate tire pressure for the track? The owners manual says max rating on the tire or 38 PSI whichever is lower. Is air available at the track or do you need to bring your own?
