Update on Rich and Carrie - Optima Challenge
Two of out favorite CELEBRITIES in the Corvette Community. Neither are the type to stand up and brag, they just get the job done. I quote Rich from a recent email........
Regarding Optima at Pike's Peak, it went really well. I set a record for the most points ever scored in a single weekend at Optima, set a new track road course record and finished with a 494 out of 500 possible points for the weekend. It really helped me towards securing the national points championship again this year. We have another month and then we head to Fontana labor day weekend.
Carrie did well and finished 7th in her difficult class. If she has a decent weekend in Fontana than I think she will secure her invite based on points for the season.
I am so very happy for both of them. They are up against a very competitive group of challengers ....(as the movie said) the best of the best. And they have excelled and are at the TOP! Such a great couple.

Thanks everyone. We're having a great time traveling around and doing all these events together. We've been in Vegas twice already this year, Colorado and Fontana is coming up. We're also fairly certain that we're making the drive from Fontana to Bowling Green KY to participate in Holley's LS Fest. I did well at LS Fest West in May (2nd place in Grand Champion) and I stand a good chance to get on the podium or win at Bowling Green. The only down side is the 5,350 mile round trip (Woodland to Fontana to BG and then back to Woodland)
The cars will be in SEMA again and I hope to wrap up the season with the national points championship again and a podium finish at the Optima Invitational that follows SEMA.
We recently upgraded to a 43' Featherlite trailer so we can haul both cars to the events. Carrie's schedule is more hectic sometimes than mine is and this allows her to either ride with me (not have to follow in the ZR1) or fly in to the events while I haul the cars.
Yes we will be there with Kenny tomorrow. We have Friday and Saturday tickets with his group. I think we will be in Pedregon's pits for the hospitality this year. It's a bummer Lucas Oil pulled out of drag racing. They put on the best hospitality and took care of everyone really well.

ABC.... Attitude, Belief, Conviction always equals success. A truly talented and special pair are Rich & Carrie.... They share a passion for Corvettes & Competition that few people will ever know. It is a pleasure doing business both of them and to call them friends is a bonus.
Keep killin' it guys!
