Anyone running Long tube headers?

+2000 newer vehicles are IOS and 1999 and older still run on the bar 97 machine aka sniffer test. Anything after market on the engine must have a CARB sticker or an EO number on the part to pass. Cat back exhaust and air filter inserts into stock intake do not matter. You might get away with cams, heads and tunes most times if your engine covers are on and it looks and sounds somewhat normal (no huge engine lop)

The really sad thing is, if you are "say" caught on the street with non conforming parts your car can be impounded, and you will be find. There was once the possibility that CARB officials were thinking about going to track events and checking street registered cars for non conforming parts. There is release that you have to sign when buying non CARB parts from Summit in Reno, and that release is sent to CARB's data base (yes like facebook you are out there in the cloud) so it's possible that they could just come to your house and bag you. Will they? well if Jerry want more money for his train, and Bay Area Transit Authority get's their way, it could be a reality.

Or, you do like me and move to Reno, then commute as needed. The other good thing is I keep my AUG and MP5 - along with all my 13 (.45 ACP), 16 (9mm), 30 (MP5) and 42 round (AUG) magazines there as well.
