Default Corvette Spectacular

It's never too early to start planning to attend Corvette Spectacular. This year it will be held on Sunday, September 16, again on beautiful Main Street in Los Altos.

There will be no formal judging this year. There will, however, be lots of specialty awards given out.

So come out and enjoy the friendship of other Corvette owners as well as the beautiful cars.

Information and registration: http://sccorvettes.org/corvette-spectacular/

I am just posting to remind people that Corvette Spectacular is less than two months away. There will be place awards for the top three cars in each generation as well as the specialty awards Grand Slam mentioned.

This is the first year Spectacular will be a WSCC Type V show, where the judges select the place winners based on basic cleanliness and general appearance rather than having four judges deducting for smudges, fingerprints, dust, lint, etc. I enjoyed the competition of the Type I shows in the past, but I have found that I am much more relaxed at the Type V shows. I like to keep my car looking nice, but I was getting kind of tired of cleaning my car to the nth degree for the Type I shows.

I think it will be a good car show.

It's only a month until Corvette Spectacular - the largest All Corvette car show in Northern California. Sunday, September 16, again on beautiful Main Street in Los Altos.

This year it is a WSCC Type V car show which means cars will be judged informally for specialty awards. More time for participants to enjoy the cars, their friends and the shops and restaurants on Main Street.

Not sure Deep Reflections will be there, as I sold the business and not sure the new owner is into car shows. We have the same philosophy and he has retained my excellent help, but you won't see my happy, smiling pretty face... LOL.
I do have a non-compete agreement within 50 miles of Los Gatos, and will most likely move to SoCal/Orange County and do Ceramic coatings only.
I did get a call about being in the show that I need to return. If I had already paid, I will be there as my last show and make sure the new owner is well taken care of within the Corvette community. I had several offers, his was not the highest but he was right in tune with me about what Deep Reflections was all about.

I am sorry to see you go. I had never heard of Zaino until I attended my first Corvette Spectacular in 2006. I wish you the best. I really appreciated the detailing class you did for SCC a few years ago.

Thanks I truly appreciate the sentiment. The deal just fell into my lap, and while I did love detailing and the people working with me, just made coming to work everyday an amazing experience, but it was too good to pass up

Whats the parking situation like at this show? (first timer)

Can I expect to find parking nearby that will set my mind at ease as far as door dings and such? Or is it really crowded? Recommendations? When should I show up? I'm going to come, but debating on bringing my Z06 or the beater lol #parkinganxiety

The best thing to do is to register in advance. That way you are guaranteed a spot. If you don't want to enter the show, there are numerous city lots nearby. I am not sure how full they get because I have always entered the show. There is no Corvette corral. This year's show will be different from past years'. In the past, judges deducted for any smudge, dust, lint, residual wax, etc. At this year's show, the judges will consider such things as the general appearance, condition, color combination and rarity. There won't be so much focus on a piece of lint or a spec of dust.

I would suggest being there at 8:00.

10 days to Spectacular! We have almost 150 cars registered and still have room for more. There's still time to register and reserve a spot.

The current forecast for the 16th is a high of 70. Should be great weather for showing off your car, admiring all the others and having a great time with friends.
