Any one know of a reputable shop in the Monterey area that specializes or even knows how to smog check a 1989 Corvette. The guy that did my car for years died and I need a replacement. Thanks in advance.

Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between smogging a 1989 Corvette vs any other car?

Any smog check station should be able to test it. Now if you're not compliant, that's another issue.

'89 is Pre OBD2 which started in '96. From what I understand any OBD2 car will get a Visual and a scan and that's it! If car doesn't throw any codes, it's good to go..

I would also agree that any smog shop should be able to do it..
