Looking for help to do some work on my 1998 C5. The mechanic is trying to charge me crazy money for some work. I need to replace AC system and swap my C5 seats for C6 seats, which I already have. Don't know much about electrical but would love to learn. Anything will help. Can provide beer and food!!!!!

Then, I would think if the original poster was in Kentucky, he/she would have posted it in the Southeastern Forum and not in the Northern California forum. Also, when you google or yahoo Sacramento, only California comes up.

That’s because you are in California. Search engines provide results based on your location. Even if you have location blocked, Google and other search websites can guess your location based on your IP address. This is why searching for something nationwide like ‘Walmart’ will most likely return addresses to local stores in your area.

Of course this still doesn’t excuse someone from Kentucky lurking in the Northern California subsection and not knowing the Sacramento the OP was talking about is in California.

If I google in a street name, it gives me all of them, nation wide. Not just my area.

Yes, but odds are the first few ones listed will be ones local to you area. Try a very common street name that practically every city has. For example, I just googled “main street” and the first page is a list of a bunch of local businesses on main street in my city. You will not get the same list if you do the same search from your location because you aren't in my city.

This is how search engines work. They want to provide you results that are meaningful to you. If you search for McDonalds and you appear to be in Carson City Nevada, Google is going to show you McDonalds close to you first because odds are you aren’t looking for one in Branson Missouri or Fairbanks Alaska, etc.
