Best tuner in Norcal? Matt Gower with GPX
So lets rewind 2 years ago to when Synergy botched the **** out of my tune. Car was rich, constantly fouled plugs (every 1500 miles or so), had a "service Soon" light appear every 15 seconds to a min of driving, and was otherwise crap. I honestly didn't care much for driving the car. I knew it needed a retune and after Rick decided it was my fault for asking to many questions he washed his hands of the car. Yeah what a tuner. Now lets fast forward. I few buddies told me about Matt and said it will be a couple months out but worth it and boy were they right. I added long tubes and upgraded the blower. Not for power but because I wanted a black kit. LOL Polishing sucked and I am no waxer. Matt in the end actually turned the meth kit down and got me 655rwhp with 575tq. He told me he has seen better and has seen worse but was very pleased with the overall tune. Heres the bottom line. I spent never 3 hours in bumper to bumper traffic from So. SF to Tracy at 330P yesterday and the car drove like stock. Once home found a stretch of road and WOW!!! Pulls like a raped ape, no codes, and just a pleasure to drive. Thanks Matt you have a fan buddy!!!

I’ve been going to Matt for years, he’s always taken care of me and the cars run great. He’s definitely worth the wait. He has my current Z06 at 672/657 with only long tubes, cold air and e50 on stock pulley.

You know Mike I unfortunately had a bad experience with Synergy, but there are 100 more that are happy. All I can say is Matt has me running like a champ. Damn your numbers are great. I had to work hard for this 655 lol

That’s why I sold my grand sport and bought the Z06 lol minimal mods make great numbers, but I’m also out of fuel if I wanted to do anything more and i don’t want to run meth since I take it to the road course.

You know Roy I could fully accept it, if that was the case. It was how Rick handled it. It was weak and very unprofessional, but I am glad he took good care of you. The guy certainly knows the LS platform and by now hopefully he has figured out a few things with the LT.
Sometimes Mike I wish I went Z06 but to be honest I had fun modding this thing. I love to tinker and have it right where I want it. I can honestly say I don't even look in the FS section lol. Nothing I want or need. Now for the Camaro I just bought. I am fighting back everything not to through a Whipple at it. LOL

I'm a big fan of Matt also. He tuned my LS2 with the A&A/Vortex supercharger, meth, cam and long tubes to a 10.6x sec 135 mph 1/4 mile and 208 mph Mojave 1.5 mile runs. It still runs like a stock LS2 while cruising down the freeway and getting 26-27 mpg at 70 mph.

I have had both Rick and Matt tune my car and they both are very good tuners. However, let's just say, Matt is my tuner and I highly recommend him!
