Hooked On Corvettes Track Day, Sponsored By Abel Chevrolet
We're getting close to my favorite track day of the year. Yep, the Hooked on Corvettes sponsored by Abel Chevrolet is coming up next month. The date this year is Thursday April 25th for Hooked on Corvettes (and friends) and it's followed up with a second track day, open to everyone on Friday.
As always, we will have Chad and Jim on hand to provide track assistance, swap out brake pads and fix any other issues you might have. We'll have totes full of extra parts just in case y'all need them.
David Ray has thrown out the challenge to get this event full of Corvettes so we don't have to let any of those pesky P cars, F cars or Fords into our play ground so sign up early and post up if you're planning to join us.
HOD is also doing the Weds afternoon lunch run and Taste of the Track the day before.

I'll be there Thursday and Friday... one of the best events of the year for sure!
If you've never been on track in your Corvette this is the event to do it... HOD is great with new drivers and Thunderhill is a near perfect track to learn on. With all the other Corvettes on track and in the paddock... the support from Rich and all the guys from Abel Chevrolet... there should be few excuses left.

Anybody else planning on coming? Friday is damn near filled up, but we still have some room on Thursday. Weather is shaping up to be perfect.

Had a total blast, as always, and was great to see all the Corvettes out on track! Thank you to all the guys/gals at Abel for the work they put in for this event... it's great going to a track knowing you'll have the experts there; both on track and for service/repairs.

@RichieRichZ06 1:51's over the top?
That was the second day, running different tires and in the afternoon. Thursday morning I had a couple 1:50's and a handful of 1:51's with a fastest of 1:50.3 over the top and having to pass a car. All the other laps I had were passing multiple cars or were in the heat of the day. The car was working well and it was a blast picking off GT3 RS and ACR's like they were driving down the highway. Haha

I'm sure those guys have a long drive back to come up with "reasons" lol
