Could be, I'm a really big fan of that movie.

Which reminds me, The Incredibles has some good demo material. The rocket firing is good for bass, and the whole chase sequence with the flying discs vs. Dash is great for surround.

Behind Enemy Lines, the scene with all the trip wires. Searched YT but I mostly found video game videos.

I'm sure the beach scene w/ Ride of the Valkyries playing in Apocalypse Now could be pretty good, too.

Cant remember the name...but it's a western with Robert Duvall and Kevin Costner......The shootout is UNBELIEVABLE in surround sound...When Costner caps the Irishman in the grape all hell breaks loose!!!....You'll swear theyre shooting up your livingroom!!!

I'd have to say honestly it would be "Crossroads" or "Bastogne" from the Band of Brothers series. Lots of explosions, lots of effects from separate speakers at different and the same time, and good dialogue to make sure that center also is working well.

Tombstone's OK Corral scene.

True Lies' action scene on the bridges that connect the Keys.

I'm a little surprised it hasn't been mentioned already, but "True Lies" (Arnold Schwarzenegger) has some great scenes for working out your sub and surround speakers. Specifically, the scene early in the movie where Arnold is in the restroom and they try to assassinate him. You have gunfire, spent shells on tile, glass shattering, tiles breaking, water splashing, etc.

For the surround sound demos I use at work, scene 14 (the shootout mentioned above) from Open Range is good. The best is when the bad guy tries to go into a shop, and the shopkeeper's standing there and says, as the guy's trying to open the locked door, "It's locked." and proceedes to blast through the door with a shotgun. The glass shattering is great. For this scene, the Def Tech 7002 towers, 2300 center, and BP1X surrounds, with a Martin Logan Dynamo sub usually do it justice, with a Denon 3808 pushing everything in DTS.

Also, the opening scene in Cars is good. Maybe not the best surround sound demo in a technical sense, but it sure does sell speakers. When Lightning McQueen starts up after talking about breakfast, that sound just blows you away.

Used to use The Italian Job (the remake), with the canal chase near the beginning. Haven't used it as much lately.

WTF

It's been a long while, but i remember a scene or two in "Armageddon" that was pretty serious. Flying through a bunch of asteroids to land on the moon, or something along those lines. It's been maybe 10 years, but IIRC it was nuts w/ the sound.

I was going to mention both of those.

Another one that is surprisingly good is the scene in Lost In Space when the robot tears up their spaceship right after it takes off.
