Thanks for sharing the pics. It is a remarkable place. It's been a number of years since I was there. Reminds me that I need to get back for a visit.

That x-15 cockpit is just plain nuts. My gf said the men that flew that thing were prepared for death.

It's nice living 20 minutes away. My neighbor was a hustler pilot, nice old man will talk your ear off about planes. I don't mind abit.

Funny, a good friend of my Dad's was a Hustler pilot in Little Rock. He was great to talk to and sparked my interest in the plane ( I have many models and books about it) He was one of the lucky ones to survive a crash in the temperamental plane

Funny, I have a pic of my girlfriend standing in front of the XB-70 from about 39 years ago. It was housed outside then. I grew up one town over from Fairborn (Beavercreek). My little piece of trivia is I got to see the XB-70 on it's last fight into Patterson field. It flew over my high school just as we were getting out. It had a B-58 Hustler flying as chase and the B-58 was dwarfed by the XB-70.

very cool I remember you telling me that before on here. I was trying to tell my gf just how amazing this plane is. She just don't get it. Mach 3 in the 1960's with a plane 5 times heavier than the blackbird.

I'd do anything to fly that XB70 or the B29.
