I sent the link to my husband who did a lot of drag racing in his earlier years and actually to this day. He loved it! He was naming all the racers in those photos that he remembered. We attend the NHRA drag races every year.

Hey guys - reviving an old thread here.

Some of the pics are not working on the link of the first page.

And the link on the second page doesn't work at all.

I'm not stressed that they aren't working just a FYI...

What I'm chasing is pics of street cars which were drag raced in the 70's at Portland International Raceway Oregon.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding some or people who were around at the time?

Thanks in advance guys

I first noticed the thread title and thought "oh cool, this should be fun thread" - then I noticed I started it.

I don't have too many pics of street cars of that era, but since you're looking for Portland pics, check out my PIR bracket racing website HERE and scroll down to the History link.

Are you looking for pics of anybody in particular?

I remember seeing a lot of those cars when I was a teenager. Some great drag racers and rivalries back then.

Hello everyone. Old thread, new member with lots of cool pix.

So, if you'll allow me to contribute to this thread, you won't regret it.

Presumably all models and makes allowed, right?
