Default Camaro Guys: What is an original '69 Z-28 DZ302 engine worth?

I have an original '69 Chevy DZ302 long block in my shop and curious of its value. I sure to the right Camaro owner it would be worth more.

There is a guy that frequents the C2 forum (JohnZ).....he would be able to tell you. He is a technical editor for Corvette Enthusiast magazine, but also is very involved in the Z28s w/302.

Corey, track down DJ Dep, he was always talking about that engine in C3 Gen. Might even want to buy it.

Or Iron Cross too.

With all the restoration of 69 Camaros .., (not suggesting your engine is not real ) there are more 302 DZ blocks now than there were in 1970...
To the guy that might have the car it went to it might be worth a bunch ..if it is in good shape ..
Typical E-Bay sale around $1200.00

If it still has the vin stamp, I'd try to locate the owner of the car it originated from.

For value and maybe to locate the owner of the car, I'd ask here in the "What's it worth" section. http://www.camaros.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=66

They also have a "for sale" section.

Good idea. You didn't really expect serious responses from the merry pranksters in CFOT, didja?

I heard it was over 500.....

and I know for a fact that top flight NCRS judges have been fooled....right in front of the perps, they witnessed it....
