They had to put it in the hanger before they put the side wall up. They are going to put a C5 in the fourth hanger. They are saying that they will build the hanger around the plane.

Fortunately I live fairly close by (Cincinnati) and have been to the museum many times. It is truely fantastic. You absolutely must plan on visiting the museum. My brother and I went this weekend to see the B-25's but it would have taken just too long to idle over to where the planes were. On most trips to the museum I noticed signs stating direction and distance to the Wright brothers museum and the part of Huffman prairie where they flew their planes. So we left the museum and for the first time went to the Wright museum, their airstrip was closed. Then we looked up the Wright bicycle shop in Dayton and next door was another Wright museum. No crowds, we had a good time. I would have loved to talk to the survivor crewmembers of the raid.

We went up today and watched them take off and do a fly over on the way home. Not the best quality video but it was truly amazing to see. Cars were stopped everywhere on the side of the highway

Fun day.

Stopped in briefly on my way through a few years back. Need to go back again.

Amazingly difficult place to take pics in.

Did the AF ever get rights back for the Memphis Belle?

I rebuilt the altimeter in the Belle during restoration and at the time the AF was trying to take her back after she'd sat for decades. Not until restoration was almost complete did they try to take her back to put her in the museum up in OH. Just wondering if they succeeded.

They have it back and are in the process of rebuilding it to flyable condition. It should be done by 2014.

The wives had to go to a wedding shower in Xenia so my father-in-law and I went to the AF Museum and were totally surprised to see all the B-25's. We were able to park just in time to see them take off then do a flyover..........It was AWESOME!!!!

All the B-25's did a low fly over our house Sunday afternoon. I was outside and didn't have my camera. Wish I had it.
