A few of us were just talking about this. I think probably more tourists have been through it than those from OKC. I've been by it a thousand times, just haven't gone through it. I'm not sure I'd like to see all the little chairs in there.

My wife's cousin was killed in the blast. His body was one of the last recovered. He had just transferred to OKC and had only been in his office for a week or so.

My wife has been to the OKC memorial. As a family member, the guards escorted her past the ropes and up to his chair...

I saw a documentary of it on the Nat Geo channel, Seconds From Disaster. It went into a lot of the details of what happened and how they caught McVeigh and Nichols

We stopped by the memorial site on a Sunday afternoon about four years ago and there was almost no sound from the one hundred or so people also there. A very poignant experience. The water that flows slowly over the granite between the monoliths is where the street was located.

Why have so many awful things happened in April? Lincoln shot, Titanic sunk, MLK assassinated. What else?

The little chairs. I cry every time I go to the memorial.

I saw the aftermath about a week after the bombing. Awful, awful, awful.

Home grown terrerorists. So very horrible, made worse by the loss of children.

To live in this great Country and have such hate, and to destroy the lives of innocents over their BS delusions. Somehow it makes me even sadder that these morons were walking among us.

I remember footage from a news helicopter taken on the good side of the building. It was the first thing my classmates and I saw after the TV was turned on. As the helo rounded the damaged face, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The roof was so neatly cut out in correspondence with the damage. Just stunning stuff. I was in 9th grade algebra class. That was a huge WTF day.

I worked in OKC as a Paramedic in the early 80's. Many of my Buds/Heros worked that scene. I went back to OKC for one of their weddings and took some photos of the memorial. If you would like to see them, they can be found here
