STILLWATER An airplane carrying Oklahoma State University women's basketball coach Kurt Budke and assistant coach Miranda Serna crashed in rugged terrain in Central Arkansas, killing all four people aboard, the university said Friday.

Budke and Serna were on a recruiting trip to Arkansas when the single-engine plane crashed in Perry County about 45 miles west of Little Rock about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The other two people, including the pilot, were not affiliated with the university.

Damn.

I hope this doesn't affect the football team tonight. I hate having something like this hanging over any team's head.

Foothills of the Ouachita Mountains about 30 miles west of here. 1000 ft mountainous terrain. No airport nearby, but it was bright and sunny all day Thursday so wasn't weather related

Had to be mechanical or pilot health problem.

Update
Pilot was former Oklahoma State Senator. His wife also a pilot was also killed.

Beginning to look like a mechanical issue.

My brother was saying that the Pilot was 82 years old? That right?
