my onkyo is ALWAYS on when we are home, either playing the radio or the theater. 6 years averaging 6 hours a day ON.

Mine is 4 1/2 years old, is on 4-6 hours every day, no issues.

I had a Yamaha RX-V667 receiver that I purchased brand new.
It turned out to be a lemon.
Had nothing but problems with it from day one.

On an audio website it was discussed that 50% of Onkyos are defective. They say you can Google this and it will verify the stat.

Had a Denon for 10 years, no problems.

Bought a new 2312CI this Spring, works and sounds great.
