I only have 572,000 miles to go on my 2000 FRC then.

By then I'll be ready for a mid engine hybrid Vette.

One would think that a person who has long commutes to do on a regular basis would go for an economical and comfortable car,...
My C4 is the choice for a long drive. I find it very comfortable and has good highway mileage.

This. For a V8, it is good on gas..and I thought mine was really comfortable.

C5 is wicked comfortable, and great on gas on the highway. Beats many econoboxes in both respects.

After watching the video, the car sounds stock. Sounds like it needs a tune up too.

I get 19mpg mixed driving and have gotten as high at 31mpg on a 300 mile trip in my C5 (indicated by computer in both cases, so yes I know it's about 1.5mpg less).

That mixed driving mpg will rival the smaller Rangers/Tacoma's.

Just shows you they are made to be driven, NOT garage queens.
