Crew had just cut a guy out, I usually snap and send a picture to the crew to share with the doctor so he can see what kind of injuries he may be dealing with. FYI, he’s gonna be fine

I'm skeptical. But it's a sellers market for sure. We should close by 4/5 and the buyer is allowing us to stay in the house until 5/15. At that point we will move into a furnished house nearby and put our stuff into storage until the new house is ready sometime in August. I hope I don't have to do this ever again. It's stressful, even though it shouldn't be. My wife is about to kill me but we'll survive.

GLWS. Nice house. In Toronto that would get 2.5 M (2M USD) all day long.

What's your objection to rebuilding?

Chances are that area is never going to burn again your lifetime, so you don't have to worry about brush fires...

I'd just like to get into a house soon that is ours. Rebuilding could be a nightmare or go smoothly, won't know till it happens. But if we just buy a house we're done and can start moving on.

Either way we keep putting offers on houses. We just signed our 4th offer since we started looking (4 different houses). There is a serious seller's market going on and decent houses are getting some really high offers.

I just know we are really unhappy where we are and life will be much better when we get back closer to the kids' schools and activities. Dealing with all the longer drives and horrible traffic sucks.

It is definitely a seller's market right now. We're building a new house (by choice not due to a disaster like you've experienced) and our current house isn't even on the market yet and we are under contract already from the first unofficial buyer we pre-showed it to. They offered full price right on the spot after a 20 minute walk through of the house. Now all we have to worry about is getting it appraised for the full price...and I am skeptical. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Building is a pain in the *** as I am finding out very quickly.

$465 was low when comparing homes sold here in Central Oregon. I had an insurance guy tell me the other day he was paying $1800 for rent and told his realtor to find a home for around $300 after a month she came back and said there are none at that price so she had him move it to $375 and he said he is just looking for a simple 3B 2B home to get out of paying rent. Our neighbors have their home at $750 and I like the looks of your home much better. Good luck with new home, make the building process a fun one you and your family will remember as you all only go around this world one time!

Evening Flight Over the City - Another one of my digital illustrations.

One of my futuristic skycars/spacerods influenced by Heavy Metal magazine and the art of Moebius (aka Jean Giraud).

Yea, '69 vert that belonged to a college roommate. Fun car. 400 out of a '68 bird he totaled. Rainy south Texas, we found out how fast you have to go in that car with no top, and stay dry. 70.
