Do you believe that SSD stands for "Standard Storage Drive"? Cause you mentioned that term twice when talking about drives.

BTW, I still don't see the Corvette tie-in, or the usefulness of this on CorvetteForum.

Shouldn't you be... I don't know... building something car related maybe?

I think SSD means solid state drive - like a flash drive or "thumb" drive - which has no moving parts (as compared to a disk drive).

You're correct, I was checking to see if Moe knew what it meant

Not sure if this has been brought up or not, but the GTX 1080 video card is coming out TOMORROW, and its about 40 percent faster than the 980 Ti. Send those 980's back while you can.

Is this a Hennessey project in any way? I wonder, it's a computer build thread that took 6 weeks.

You're supposed to spread the thermal paste around the entire CPU.

Default Project Stingray: Gaming Performance Benchmarks

So now that we spent all this time building this expensive gaming PC, just how well does it perform with the top racing titles available today?

Wait a second. You just did a build with 980 Tis? The 1070 beats that card and the 1080 kills it. Not to mention the problems that SLi bring. NVidia gave up on 3 and 4 way SLi because of the problems that just won't go away.

It's amazing you guys didn't line up a vendor to sell those adhesive logos so everybody can slap one on their PC, thus making it a "Stingray PC". Although maybe the vendors don't want to be associated with this

Seriously though, I'm still annoyed about that botched thermal paste job. You fix that yet?
