Weston Chadwick needs a real job. Maybe he's qualified to flip burgers?

Callaway makes some great upgrades for Corvettes. Wouldn't mind having them do some work on my car.

If I can help to answer any questions about Callaway Cars, the company, and the vehicles we build/built, please don't hesitate to ask.

I'd be glad to help to answer any questions the forum membership has

Actually, the same family - E. Reeves Callaway III founded Callaway Cars 40 years ago in a borrowed garage, with a borrowed car. It's quite the story. A few years later, his Dad, Ely R. Callaway II began what became Callaway Golf.

Today, the next generation of Callaway is managing much of the family business. Peter R. Callaway is the General Manager of Callaway Cars' Western Region Facility, and operates Callaway Carbon Inc., which was founded by his Dad, Reeves.

There's a few facts not found in the story...

3. When Reeves Callaway was hired for the Callaway (twin turbo) Corvette program, he and GM surmised the production might be around 25-50 cars. They were wrong. Production was 510 from 1987-1991.

4. The mandate was 100 hp more than the present-year Corvette, a 12 month warranty, and emissions compliance in 49 states. We met all goals with the 1987 Callaway Corvette, which had 345hp (vs. 230) and 485 lb-ft torque. Over the years, beginning in 1988, power further climbed, eventually to 403 hp and 575 lb-ft torque in 1991. More info can be found here: http://www.callawayownersgroup.com/Pages/Info.htm

5. RPO B2K is the first and only time a Regular Production Option was assigned for a powertrain installed off the line. Callaway Corvettes built in 1987-1991 were built this way, with vehicles drop-shipped to Old Lyme, CT for final assembly.

5a. In 2012, 26 RPO B2K Callaway Corvettes were commissioned and built, commemorating Callaway's 25th Anniversary working with the Corvette. All were identical coupes and convertibles in color/content (4LT Cyber Gray Grand Sports, except for 2 3LT versions).
