Otherwise, no point in downloading a 4k movie that you can only watch in FHD. Even at 1440p (QHD) its still not real 4k.
S7 too...but at least when I got my gear VR headset it forced me to increase the resolution before it would work.

I don't doubt that, but by then it'll be time for Note 8.

How is the video camera on the S8/S8+?

On my LG V10, the video isn't bad, until I zoom in. Then everything is grainy, and the resulting video is almost unwatchable, as it doesn't seem to want to focus. Any issues like this with the S8/S8+?

Law of optics it's not going to be good on any device because it uses digital zoom over an optical zoom...

I carry an iPhone 6s Plus for work and have Galaxy 6 Edge Plus and now the S8+ for personal use. I much prefer my Samsungs to the iPhone.
My only complaint so far is that I was so used to everything being so seamless with my iPhone..all my apps would reinstall when I would get a new iphone . Walking into the house and my photos would automatically get backed up to my macbook without having to connect my phone. I have been spoiled. I installed air droid but it's not the same. Ease of use so far goes to the iPhone. However, the S8+ is superior in every other aspect; better battery life, awesome camera, great resolution and display.
The S8+ has beautiful form, IMO, but it is very fragile. So it should always be in the case. I anticipate the iPhone 8 to be extremely similar to the samsung s8 with the main difference being that samsung s8 has kept the auxiliary port.

And wait till you have to fill out the paperwork to get all of that free stuff. The companies have you fill out a form. Submit...wait, we need more info... the process goes on.

I had the same deal with verizon and finally called them to get all the info they needed from their database or I'd file a claim for false advertising and blah blah blah. They complied on the second call.

Um it does all that stuff automatically. Don't need to do anything.

I was told I would have to repurchase the same apps from the play store that I had already purchased from the apple store. Having to search for apps individually in the play store and installing them and setting up them up again vs just restoring from a backup on my laptop with all my apps, and relevant data. I use my google account to backup my contacts. Was there anything I could have done differently to make the transition from an iPhone to an android easier ?

Well that is different then the impression that Android does not have this feature.

If you buy a piece of software for your Mac and then buy a PC do you expect them to give you the Pc software for free?

You bought a phone running a different operating system, why wouldn't you need to rebuy the app?

Once you are on an Android it is all backed up to your Google account, everything.

When you get a new Android it will show you all your previous phones that have backups, select it and the apps, pictures, movies, contacts, wallpapers, etc all restore.
