Default Youtube video review of one of my knives

As I have gone into business for myself, I have started looking at different avenues of getting my products out there. Some makers do videos as well as other types of content. I did this Youtube review to share on social media, and I figured you guys might want to see it

Please check it out.

Nice knife.

Your video is far too long. You need a concise script to be narrated,

Then try again.

Merry Christmas

Absolutely beautiful knives! My only criticism is with the video - you might consider a simpler backdrop instead of the camo. I think the busy backdrop detracts from the simple beauty of the knives, and to the eye it's distracting.

Best of luck with your endeavor - I wish I could afford one of your beautiful creations! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Looks great John. Very nice knife.

So you settled on Shockwave. I like it. I'm surprised no one else has used it.

On the video, please turn off the music in the background. Pretty distracting but maybe that's because it's country.

If you run in the bearings on the bare titanium in the pocket it'll make a nice groove and shouldn't ever move or wear. That way you could eliminate the washer.

Edit: You have to replace the run in bearing with new ones.

Thanks. For a review video it is actually about par for the course. I appreciate the heads up though.

I wondered about that and will do something different for the next vid. Appreciate it

I was hoping you would catch this. Noted on the music. Several makers have told me about the bearings on bare titanium. I will definitely try that on some future models. It could even thin the handles up .020" or so on either side.

I don't watch knife videos, so I don't know how it compares with others, but I thought it was fine. You clearly explained your reasons for building it the way you did. I found it interesting, and the knives look like super high quality. My brother is a bit of a knife collector and I bet he'd love one of yours, but I'm guessing they are pretty $$$.

I hope your new business goes great and that you have lots of success at the knife show. Are you just building knives now, or still doing some other machining on the side?

They are not cheap, but the build quality and individuality of a true custom is hard to match with anything store bought. The one in this video with zirc inserts and stainless damascus will go for $800. Base models of that design start at $500.

I do have another product I am working on for the fire service. I have had a slow and painful run of learning aluminum anodizing, but I finally got it. It s essential for those products.

I started to build one but I abandoned the idea. Pretty much all knife stuff now days is done on formats like Instagram and other outlets. websites are largely a waste. I think it has something to do with the immediacy of social media.

I did keep my hosting and I have another type of machined product I have built a page for, hoping and praying that it gets some interest. Kinda sad how much money I have put into stuff like that. I really hope something gains some interest.

Lol, yes.

I could do a video like that, but not with this particular knife. Rest assured it will perform just fine. I will do some like that in the future with more common blade steels that are not expensive damascus.

You should make the video longer and include the history of knife making starting before Christ walked the earth.

Great knives. Now that that's out of the way what happened to the neighbor who was cutting your driveway grass?

Great video. I didn't find it too long, and I enjoyed you talking through the detail of the knife, the materials, design and where you may go with it, I've never been big into knives but those are both very nice knives.

Subbed to your channel.
