I believe in the Beer Fairy
They are supposed to leak up until they are turned ON all the way. If not turned on tightly (full on), they leak. It's by design. That's how they drain the water away from the end that freezes.

build a fence around it, grade it to a ten degree slope away from the house and plant evergreen trees to hide the leak.

Wouldn't it just leak out of the hose bib if he did that, like full force?

I reassembled the stem and it doesn’t leak anymore.
Must have unseated itself during the winter?
Either way, safe to say that I’m a genius.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a new one!
Easy fix, shut off main water valve to the house and replace it!

That’s the first thing I tried. Must have been the o ring at the end of the stem. Looked fine to me but it could’ve been pinched wierd.

Nope. Mine leaks all around the handle till you turn it on all the way. I figured they all did that. I've never seen one that worked otherwise.
