How'd ya sheet the back wall with it up against the fence? Or is it open?
Generac and pool heater vented together?

Yellow part looks like an outhouse. Does it have a bidet too?
Yeah, the back was a challenge, basically built it around the equipment in place. The framing goes all around, but the tongue and groove only goes just below fence level on the back. So there is some air movement there. Basically on the inside, the fence is the back wall.

Yes, heater and generator are vented together. The yellow part is a 5x5 changing room. Wood slat floor, tongue and groove walls, got a bench inside with some storage, and a bunch of hooks on the wall for clothes/swimsuits to dry etc. Wired a light with switch inside as well.

If we had an HOA in my neighborhood, I would have been killed years ago and hung on a post at the end of my street as an example to others...

I have the same Generac. From the manufacturer: While the back of the generator can sit as close as 18 in. from your home, surfaces closer than three feet from the front and sides of the generator can impede air flow and cause the unit to overheat. Keep these three sides as well as the top of the generator at least three feet from any wall, standing structure or large object, such as lawn furniture, to ensure the generator is able to optimally perform and stay cool at all times.

I was thinking of building a fence around my pool filter as well, but the electrician installing the Generac informed me that I would be breaking several codes if I did that. Nothing flammable within three feet.

How are you going to change the oil in that thing? The front of the unit has to come off, you know.

Ah.. I see. A detail guy.

Well, we diconnected the generator and flipped it around facing the other way. There is enough room in front to access the engine and do anything we need. I installed a tan metal air vent in the fence right next to the generator. In addition, the heat is plumbed now to vent out the top. I also have two fans mounted inside that are plugged into the generator. If it's running, those fans are running.

Could it overheat. Possibly. But I ran it for three hours with no issues. But yeah, you know. What the Hell do I know?

Nice, personally, I like burning them alive...and record their screams and play them back on Halloween for the trick-or treaters
