That does not make one bit of sense to me. I can see no alcohol a couple days before the surgery but 6 weeks?? Come on, did you wife maybe tell the doctor to include that in his pre-surgery instructions?

No, even though she is pretty much is a non-drinker. I got a booklet and handout sheet for pre-surgery instructions where it spells out when to stop taking certain medications, etc and it clearly states to stop alcohol 6 weeks prior to surgery.

It used to be a 6 pack of Dumbass most evenings after work. These days it's a glass or two (or three) of Wine before bed, depending on the workload the next day.
