That's the latest trend. The days of 120 psi 25c tires is over.

I run 700-32 on my hybrid road bike. For flat protection, I use Schwalbe Marathon Plus. Bit more $ than you may want to spend but worth it for not having to stop and fix a flat half way through a ride.
