Default Doggo - Long drive but Wendel is home.

Picked him up this morning and just got home.
He was the most amazing pup.
No puke, no peeing or poops at all.
He was crying for the first 20 minutes and then I opened the crate and put my arm inside.
He snuggled up to it and just lay there.

Poor little guy started crying again when we got home.
I tried to get him to go potty in the garage as I out the heater on so it's warm but he still hasn't gone in almost 6 hours now.

He shakes a little too but I guess that's from anxiety until he gets used to the place.

It'll take a few days for him to get used to his new surroundings, he'll probably be a little shaky and nervous until then.

He is so adorable.

Normal to be nervous w/new surroundings. Once he bonds with you in a few days, that will be in the past.

Fresh water and food and he will adapt very quickly. Puppies cannot give up on plenty of attention and petting.

Usually right after they eat/drink/wake up. If he starts sniffing the ground, that is a good indicator POO/PEE is coming.

What kind of pooch?

My cousin had two chocolate labs, brothers. One was Wendel and the other was Bob (as in Clark and Probert).

Thanks everyone. I put him down in that bed for a minute and he started crying.
He's now lying on my computer desk on my arm again. LOL
No shaking or crying as I type this with him attached to me.

I need to get him in his crate here so I can go potty. lol

I did that the second I walked in the door. He had a bit of water and a few crunchy bits of the crap that he was being fed originally. Tomorrow I break out the good stuff and let him choose.
I will then add it slowly to his normal food about 10% at a time until he's use to it.

Hopefully I can get the travelling Vet here tomorrow or the next day to give him a look.

Yup Wendel after Wendel Clark. He's my favourite hockey player of all time.
He is a pure bred Jack Russell Terrier.

So ******* tiny!
I feel like I'm gonna break him when I grab him.

He loves to sleep which is a good thing I guess.

I was worried at the beginning. Thought maybe he had turrets or something.

Congratulations. He looks like a good one. When we got our last little guy, it took him a day or so to get acclimated. I had just taken him out and he didn't do his business. Made the mistake of not watching him when we got back, he ran upstairs and peed on my pillow.

Been a long time since I had a puppy, but I remember it being pretty much one-in, one-out for a while.
As soon as he is done eating, take him out.
