Default GM's firings today assure that I will never buy another GM product again

As long is that Troglodyte Mary Barra is running [ruining] GM I will never buy another of their products, including the C8 which I had plans to do. I was shocked to hear that at the meeting where the sheep were led into the gas chamber they were led out to a fleet of taxi cabs to replace the corporate cars that had been confiscated. What a Gestapo move. Based upon GM's lack of culture, class and humanity I am sure that the C8 will probably turn out to be a pile of plastic crap and will kill off the Vette forever.

Indeed, it was not handled well. Most companies give 60 days. Barra is scum. But GM will survive the Barra reign of terror.

They’re being paid through April as far as I know, not just getting tossed out on the street. They got rid of tons of jobs at the Warren tech center, most of which were likely associated with slow-selling cars that are being discontinued. That’s engineers, designers, testers, and other people involved in the R&D process.

They’re restructuring their departments and divisions, which is the very thing that could’ve prevented the GM bankruptcy. If they don’t need the positions, there’s no point in keeping them. EVERY manufacturer will be restructuring to some extent over the next few years in order to allocate more funding towards new technologies like EV batteries and autonomy. Even Tesla had to drop a ton of jobs to boost model 3 production.

They didn't drop those jobs to boost model 3 production, they are sitting on 6800 unsold M3s for the US. They dropped them to lower the price.

I hear Mary Barra ( Fox News) makes $22,000,000 per year which is more than the salary of 5 other automotive CEO's combined. While cutting jobs maybe she should take a drastic cut in pay to help the company. However, I doubt it!

HTF does a GM executive make $22,000,000 per year? Is that supposed to be $2,200,000 or $22 MILLION?

WTF???? If that is true, how the **** do they "justify" a need for a "BAILOUT"? Sorry *** thieves.

How dare a public company cut costs to be more profitable for its owners.

The unites states government woukd do well to trim its ridiculous over spending and debt. State and local governments too.

once our government figured out they could spend more than they take in year after year...

we are all screwed.

sad for those who lose their jobs at GM but corporations do this as a part of business.

hopefully there is some type of severence package to assist in their transition of a new career.

Wait, so they are taking their cars? Like every other company in the country does when they have a RIF?

When first made CEO, I thought she was perfect for the role. But at $22 million with my GM stock sucking...nah.
