Default What is Chicago or NY Style Pizza?

WTF is the difference between Chicago Style and New York Style Pizza? It's all fkn Italian anyway. Does one display bullet holes while the other has an accent? We have a local hole here in downtown Albuquerque called Aldo's. They boast NY style. I can see why because there is a pic of the Brooklyn bridge and Statue of Liberty on the wall.

The pizza is very good but identical to Costco. Excluding the national chains, where I have had pizza that boasts one or the other, true Chicago or NY seems to somewhat tasty but no depth or substance to it, razor thin crust and reminds me of Domino's from 30 years ago and I'm paying for apparently history with a less than average taste.

Regardless of where it comes from, can't we all just agree that greasy crumbles sausage in melted cheese, in any crust format is ******* delicious

Basic synopsis:

Chicago is thick pan style, multi layers, generally have to eat it with a fork and knife.

New York, is flat "cardboard" with large slices, generally folded to hold all the grease and toppings from spilling and eaten with your fingers.

Chicago style is what adults eat. NY style is what you give kids at a 5 year old birthday party.

Chicago (aka Regina style) is a fat casserole. NY is skinny thin. They're different meals, really shouldn't be compared.

Damn, now I want some pizza. IDGAF what style as long as the sauce is tasty and the toppings plentiful.

I hate Western pizza. Cheese needs to be under the meat!

This is a Chicago style stuffed crust.

If you want to make your own, get "The Pizza Bible" available on Amazon. Best pizza cookbook I have ever found.
