That's the going rate, check out a loaded Canyon Denali, they're knocking on $50k, same for a Colorado LTZ, or Toyota Tacoma TRD. I got a pretty good discount ordering mine, I don't need a full size truck, but I wanted all the toys, and a comparably equipped F150, Silverado or Ram will check in over 60k easily. Depends on the trim and options, you can get a really nice XLT for mid 30's if you don't want leather and all the toys.

I priced out the Lariat on their website with 4x4 and just about everything else and it was around $ 45,000.00. I get the A or Z plan (whatever they call it) so I will need to see what the discount is off of sticker. As stated I don't think I need a full size F-150 anymore. I just need room for me, the wife and the 2 Golden Retrievers. (They ride in the cab) I believe the 6' bed will also be big enough for mulch and other purchases. The F-150 Lariat if I remember correctly was around $ 65,000.00 plus loaded. So saving $ 20,000.00 to me may be worth downsizing. Thanks for your input.

You have to remove the front driver's wheel and whole fenderwell just to access the oil filter on that 2.3. Nicely done, Ford.

You have to do the same thing on my wife’s Acadia to access the front light bulbs.

Ya but in most instances you only have to change bulbs every couple of years, not every couple of months.

We're talking about a fully loaded midsize truck here, have you priced a loaded 1/2 ton lately? Whether you get a Ford, GM or Ram you're looking at around $65k sticker price. The price differential is between $15 and $20k.

Just bought a mediumly optioned diesel dually 4x4 in the low 50s last year.

The 6' bed only comes in the extended cab version, and that's a bit tight back there, the pups might feel a bit cramped. I traded my extended cab Canyon and decided on the Crew Cab Lariat just for the extra space in the back. The downside is with the Ranger, the overall length and wheelbase are the same, but with extended cab you get the 6' box, with crew cab you get the 5' box. Mine stickered just about $45k, the only options I didn't get were the keypad on the door for entry and the hard folding tonneau cover, which was (and still is) on "late availability" and would've held up my order. Nobody has tonneau covers for the Ranger yet, I ordered one from a big local aftermarket installer, they expect it in a couple weeks. The rear seat on the crew cab will fold either way, up from the bottom with storage bins underneath or down from the top if you fold the headrests down, and with the rear seat in normal position there is a lot of room back there, plus 2 USB ports, a 12V outlet and armrest with 2 cupholders. Just my $.02, but I'd do the crew cab.

Right now the inventories are pretty high with full size 1/2 ton trucks (at least in my area), a local Ford store has at least 100 in stock, and a Chevy store right across the street from him has about the same. They will probably heavily discount those trucks, but if you don't need or want a full size truck (which I don't) that leaves the alternative of a midsize truck. I'm guessing that diesel dually was either with some mileage or a previous year leftover, a sticker for one of those even in base form is knocking on the door of $70k, but if a dealer really wanted to move the truck, maybe so.

It was a 2018 bought in December of 2017. It might have had 50 miles on it.

39 is closer to 50 than 25 is.
