If history is is an indication of how good it is.it will be a great truck.when they quit building them, the market was low for small trucks. they won awards for the most dependable truck. Recently read it here - https://coolcarsforever.com

I picked mine up ( oh sorry---purchased for the retards) this past Monday. So far pretty good but it will take a while to get used to the downsizing.

I have received quite a few compliments already on how good it looks.

I went with the Pearl White metallic paint on the Lariat model.

Also, I did go with the extended 6 year 100,000 mile warranty.

I've been looking at Colorados and Canyons for about a month. It's pretty easy to have a loaded crew 4x4 for 35k with discounts, and the interior comfort is way above the Ford. Also the comment above regarding the Ford powertrain is false. GM with V6 is faster, and gets better mileage on regular gas.

2011 Ford Ranger, bought new Nov/2011

...it's f'kn unreal what they want for a new one. I paid $8800 for the '86, $13,200 for the '99 & $17,900 for the 2011.

I looked at Rangers when I was shopping in '11. Ended up with a Frontier. Both had the same size V6, but the Ford was down almost 100hp. They had let that truck lag, bad. 'Course the Ranger was the last of the truly small trucks. The Frontier and Taco are both much more mid-size.
Good to see it's had an update.

I heard it defaults back to on each time you shut off the engine.

What's the fascination with these baby trucks that cost just as much and in some cases more than a full sized truck?

I saw a new Ranger up close a few days ago in a parking lot. Did a walk around and looked back at my Colorado and I think the Colorado is a better looking truck.

Not everyone needs or wants a big truck. And with equal trim levels the full size truck is more.
