As I mentioned the sticker on the Ranger with the Lariat package was just under $ 45,000.00 A new F-150 with the same equipment and the Lariat package is $ 62,000.00 to $ 65,000.00.

I actually went to the Cleveland Auto show recently to compare the Ford Ranger to the GMC Canyon. I liked the Canyon with the Denali package but on the Canyon you can only get a black interior.

I got the Ranger in the White Platinum Tri-coat metallic exterior and the interior on the Lariat model is available in medium stone leather so I went with that. That was one of my major deciding factors to go with the Ranger.

It is a combination of some black with different item in the stone leather color.

I actually average over 25,000 miles a year so I need the extended warranty after about a year and a half. To me it makes sense since I put on so many miles.

And it is all through Ford so it always goes to the same place for service.

I traded a Canyon for my new Ranger. The Canyon was a great truck, trouble free and solid. I also looked at the Denali Crew Cab and really liked it, until I had a chance to drive the Ranger at one of the Ford preview events, and frankly, it's just that little bit nicer than the Canyon Denali. I ordered a Lariat Crew Cab FX4 in Ingot Silver with Black leather, the only options I didn't get were the door keypad and the Sport Appearance Package. I got the factory spray-in bedliner and got a really nice hard folding tonneau cover from a local Car/Truck accessory dealer since the one from Ford was on '"Delayed Availability". So far so good, I'm really liking the Ranger and that 4 cylinder turbo has more juice than anybody's V6 does, that was my only concern, but no longer.

Exactly. I do really like the F150 and seriously considered a new Raptor, but for what I use it would be overkill. Now if they come out with a Ranger Raptor, that may be a different story.....

I'm seeing lots of nicely optioned 2019 4x4 Lariats on Autotrader for around $50,000.

Conversely, a similar search for 2019 4x4 Rangers were around $40,000.

here is a review
https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/auto...mr1?li=BBnb4R5

I saw one at the dealer, it seemed very big for a ranger. I liked the old ones.

3 problems with that;
Right hand drive
Diesel engine only
Not available here "yet"

Does look interesting, I think we'll see one here at some point, if they do, I'm on the list.

Lots of reviews online, the mid size pickups have all gotten a lot closer in size to the full size trucks, in pricing too.
