Default Anyone Here Pick Up A New Ford Ranger Yet ?

I know many members have F-150's as do I.

I am thinking of downsizing somewhat and I like the way the new Ranger Lariat with sports package looks.

Anyone get one yet ?

turbo 4 only and the engine shut off feature were kinda negative things to me when I read the review a few months ago.

A guy where I work has one, I didn't care for the looks when I saw them online but in person was a very good looking pickup IMO. I had no idea they are selling in the mid 40's though. That is just bonkers to me.

I would not like the engine shut off feature either. I thought it was optional. I will have to ask.

Not going to happen.

current truck is almost 14 years old and I paid 21,600 for it. I have not had to replace an $8,000 battery yet and will not when my next ranger is 14 years old

Same here. I saw this brochure photo in 2003 (Ranger FX4 Level II) and bought one located at another dealership sight unseen.

It was a cool little pickup. Factory equipped with 4.0L / 5 speed manual, manual transfer case with lever, soft rear springs, Bilstein shocks, narrowed F150 rear end w/ 4.10 gears, torque sensing limited slip, 31" BFG KO's, and Alcoa wheels. Traded for a fuggin Tahoe, wife couldn't drive a manual.

I'm debating over going for a new Lariat w/ FX4, but the Jeep Gladiator is really interesting for me right now.

How did you outfit one to get to that price? I just built a Lariat 4X4 with towing package on the Ford website very well equipped and the sticker was $39k.

Picked mine up on Monday, ordered it back in mid-November. I got a Lariat Crew Cab 4x4 FX4, pretty much optioned out. Really liking it so far, nice truck, very quiet and will run rings around anything else in its class. That 10 speed automatic works great with the 2.3 turbo engine. Highest payload and towing in class.

The turbo 4 with the 10 speed automatic will make you forget about the V6. The engine shut off, you can turn it off if you want to, but it's pretty unobtrusive, you don't even notice it.
