I follow this guy's YouTube channel and I thought some of you might find this interesting.

What are your thoughts?

That's my not channel. Mine is in my sig.

Since a lot of people here pay attention to their oil rather seriously, I posted the vid wondering what people thought of the testing methods he uses, etc.

Nice review...but the Amazon oil only be worth half after it snaps a crankshaft pic and sends it to your girlfriends brothers car.

Nice channel. Unlike some other "Garage" channels I've seen lately, yours actually has videos about cars in it.

Has anyone here EVER actually lost a motor due to cheap oil, or in a way that better oil would have prevented? It seems like people obsess over oil, but I've never "retired" a car due to having run plain old dinosaur oil in it. Now road course racing I can see, the temps require it, but on the street?

I have a feeling that if you didn't road course, you could put 5W30 Havoline cans and a filter in there every 5000 miles and it'd run forever anyway... or about 250,000 miles at least.
