OP posted a pic of a 1959 Buick Lesabre.

Bruce is singing about a 1958 Caddy.

Yes I know I guess you had to be there
I meant the OP didn't post a Caddy

I've always wanted a '59 Buick and while I'd prefer it not be pink, I'd take it.

My Air Force room mate out in California had one of those.
Man what a cruiser that thing was. We called it "Proud Mary" cause it was a big as a river boat and just floated along like it was riding on a cloud!
Weird one speed Dynaflow transmission, kind of a variable ratio torque converter I think.

If you know me at all you know I'm OK with that - because Corollas and Camrys are boring and fly right under the RADAR.

Just today on the way home I passed by at least 3 CHP units (one stationary in the center divider, facing my side of the road; the other two rolling in the opposite direction) doing between 75 and 90 and drew no notice whatsoever.

I remember when my dad bought a new 60 white Buick Lesabre. It was a 2 door and and our family of 7 + the dog could ride in that car with plenty of room.
