Hated high school. I was the last one to arrive and the first one to leave. No activities no nothing.

Got out of class at 12 noon. Had a job all through High school. A 55 chevy convertible, my own pad, and making $2 an hour. Donald Trump money back then. Hated school from the beginning. Played sports on the weekend and partied at night. Never went to any reunion's.

Could not afford the correct penny loafer shoe so was an outsider, ate by myself, walked halls by myself. As others have said, hated HS and never been back.
Lots of friends in college so I blame the ***-hole, rich bitch, preppy HS (you can tell I don't hold a grudge after 50 yr right?)

I was always one of the "in" crowd. Played football and ran track, student council, dated the cute girls, etc. Our school mascot was a '31 Model A salesman's coupe. I chaired the committee that maintained it. Used it as my own car my whole senior year and the summer before.

My pals and me were raised in affluent Omaha, NE neighborhoods, with our major interests girls, cars, motorcycles, partying, getting a hold of some liquor/beer. Not much dope. None athletes. Grades weren't paramount, but most got either 4 year degrees, and three got doctorates. One pal became a major airline pilot. I attended a private ROTC Military Academy. Most all became millionaires by their 50s. Some earlier. Most of us keep in touch, some, very close touch - regardless where we moved to in the Country.

My Mother became a Jehovah Witness and due to her religious beliefs (caused by the death of my oldest brother to cancer- she went crazy), we weren’t allowed to associate with unbelievers and kids, friends, or neighbors that weren’t part of her religion, say the Pledge, participate in holidays and so much more. My Father went along with it, her wishes to try to save his marriage, and he even tried her religion there for a very short time! At school I was being harassed, picked on, beat up by groups, when I was transferred back to public school, etc. My father put us (me and my brothers) in Martial Arts at first to just learn to better defend ourselves. But we were to turn the other cheek, not retaliate was demanded by my mother, until one day my Dad said enough is enough, and that was followed by a divorce, where my Father got custody of all 5 of us boys! I was signed up into Golden Gloves too and then we were basically given license to take out any kid that bothered us, my younger brothers after a failed Father/School meetings with the schools staff! I then was allowed to participate in sports, but ended up fighting with coaches and other players! My final year in High School my favorite target was picking on most of the varsity Football team with guys that were bounced from the team for grades, or attitude, I was getting in fights a lot! I honestly became a full blown bully! At first they tried to just suspend me, until legal pressure was put on the school about the joint conduct of some of the school’s star athletes!

I was not a fan of HS, I was pretty miserable in middle school but in HS I got into cycling. I was at a small HS in what was then a small town & I'm sure people thought I was weird but I didn't get involved with others that much. I connected with a local bike shop race team & trained with them or by myself all week after school and carpooled with them to bike races, mostly criteriums all over the southeast on weekends. I raced the short races for my age group as well as the senior races on occasion. In contrast it made days at school seem claustrophobic & boring & made the stick & ball sports with coaches and rules about sportsmanship & conduct seem lame.

As with many high schoolers in "provincial" areas, once I went off to college on the other side of the state, things improved.

Captain of the hockey team, also played baseball, so yeah, the jock crowd.

Loved cars but couldn’t afford the cool ones quite yet.
