Default Motor Trend: 18 Luxury Vehicles with the Lowest Depreciation Rates

https://www.motortrend.com/news/18-l...ciation-rates/

VOLVO XC60 - 50.1%
INFINITI QX60 - 50.2%
BMW X5 - 50.5%
MERCEDES-BENZ GLE - 50.6%
MERCEDES-BENZ GLC - 50.7%
AUDI Q5 - 51.0%
BMW X4 - 51.0%
AUDI Q7 - 51.1%
BMW X3 - 51.1%
LEXUS LX - 51.7%
LEXUS GX - 53.4%
LAND ROVER DISCOVERY - 53.4%
LEXUS NX - 53.5%
LEXUS RX - 53.5%
PORSCHE CAYENNE - 55.0%
PORSCHE 911 - 57.5%
PORSCHE 718 BOXSTER/CAYMAN - 58.7%
PORSCHE MACAN - 62.4%
Yikes, I did not expect nearly the entire list to be made up of SUVs/crossovers! I knew sedan demand was down but I guess that also translates to worse depreciation compared to SUVs?

I just bought a used Macan partially due to low depreciation. Great car so far.

Have you seen some of these trucks these days?

Nicer than "luxury" vehicles.

The Navigator tows 11K.

Nothing on that list can tow more than 5K.

they aren't popular for towing. They are popular among the money crowd, especially those with kids. They are considered safe, easy to see out of, easy to pack the car seat(s) in, and hold lots of crap kids require these days. Most of my neighbors either have Porsche or Mercedes suv's in one form or another. The scoff at my f150, lol.

Cayenne can tow 7,700lbs. At least enough to tow a race car to a track.
