I hope I'm that spry at 80.

He was very personable and funny too. Said a few words here and there between songs.

Dude sitting in front of us was bigger than me but he was a fat fukking slob.

I will say this some old peeps are worse than millennials. Usher had to tell this one dude and his wife like 10 times to stop taking pics and vids with their cell phones. WTF?

One of my favorite things about live shows is stories the artists tell between songs. What inspired them, something about the city they’re playing, or whatever. One of the best was Jewel Kilcher. Cute, sings like an angel, talented guitarist and songwriter, tons of stories, and a great sense of humor. She knew how to engage the audience.

Just a bit out of boxthirty range but I'll take you up on that when we hang with John E.

Our friends treated us to dinner the other night and ordered a bottle of Caymus Select Reserve or something. Looked it up when we got home. ~$200 if you buy it at the store so 50% markup in a fancy schmancy restaurant.

We got next. Taking them to a local BBQ joint and drinking craft beers.

Yeah that is cool. At first I thought he was all business because he came out and just started playing without a word but then throughout the concert every few songs he would talk a bit. Not too much.

Another dude we've seen many times, Matthew Good, does the same. Plays a bit, talks a bit. Love his shows. Seen him maybe 7 times now. He's more my style of music than Gordon Lightfoot but Mrs Flex wanted to go, so I took her. She was so happy. And she did go to see the Headstones with me last year,.

Never heard of him. Now I have. I’ll have to check him out.

Open mike night at our local pub. Live music every night. No cover. Some pretty decent talent. Good music scene in the ‘burg. I like it.

His early stuff with Matthew Good Band is legendary. Like every song is 10/10 and his solo stuff is great too. He kicks things up at his concerts; and by that I mean most of the songs sound more "heavy".

He also does acoustic shows. I've only been to one and I got kicked out for starting a fight with an off-duty employee of the venue that was being a loud obnoxious jackass during the concert. Ooops.

This song is stellar, he was a master of the "whisper to a scream" IMHO:

Agreed but it probably would have been more of a disturbance to the show than the pics as these people were centre stage in the 3rd row. And based on their behaviour they wouldn't have gone quietly. They were quite defiant and dismissive of the usher's efforts to stop them from taking the pics/vids.

I don't understand why people need endless pics/videos of everything they do anyway. I went to one concert many years ago and two young ladies seated in front of us spent the entire concert taking selfies and videos. Why?
