This just happened to me and the dealer didnt know how to fix it. Apparently when the dealer changes out your cabin filter on your truck, they can accidentally touch a connector that goes to your intellilink. So then the screen is black (like dead). Well the fix is quite easy and it could save you $$ especially when out of warranty

No requirement for a joke to actually make sense, or even be funny, in this forum I suppose.............

I have a 2011 but read this thread anyway knowing there'd be funny stuff in it. Hope I didn't break any rules.

No. By the above logic, your 2011 might be affected too........

I presume it's the same system I have in my '16 Tahoe which will infrequently go blank the suddenly reappear. I did have the compass go blank on the dash panel and the road speed information was constantly wrong...apparently this is also a common problem and the dealer fixed this under warranty. So far I haven't done anything about the MyLink since it will reappear and I'm now out of basic warranty. Guess it's time to change the cabin air filter and check the connections you've shown.

2018 Sierra is immune to this. Anybody with half a brain would know that.

Had to put a new battery in my 2017 GMC today. Thought should have lasted longer than two years and two months.
