So I could have been a fighter pilot in WWII, Korea, and 'Nam.

If I could pick, now that a hard one.

I got to think the earlier part of my life was fantastic

In the 60s I went from a teenager to a adult. Graduated HS mid 60s. The law of drinking was 18 in my state. I had a good job (construction) and made decent money! The hot car era was going well, my area was a hot bed of street racing and we had 3 drag tracks in the area. I owned a couple real fast cars of that era and got to race against or drive just about all the stuff you see at Mecum or B-J real time. (My buddy owned a speed shop/garage and I worked for him part time)

The birth control pill was new out and man o man did the girls take full advantage of that. The music was very good all sort of styles were out there. Of course we had the Vietnam war as a serious downer, I lost a few friends over there.

Now with all the bullshit of today, no privacy stupid politicians pushing stupid things, pollution other problems, at age 73 I will not have to put up with this new world that long.

I guess I was sort of born in the right time!

Mid-60s to early 70s with a boatload of cash and knowing what I know now. I’d pick up a lot of the really hot muscle/sports cars at the prices they were selling for then and cash in with today’s market prices.

The good part of the 50s being great is that they are long gone.

I would like to be able to see it first hand but wouldn't want to be a part of it, prehistoric times, the middle ages and a couple hundred years into the future (depending on how it is I may want to be a part of it).

1000 years into the future. I'd roll the dice to see where we get to if it were a 1 way trip. Go ahead and make me 25 again just for shots and giggles.

After the invention of penicillin. My appendix burst when I was 11 and I would've been a goner before antibiotics.

The summer after I graduated from High School.

Started my Jr. college experience then and didn't devote all the time and energy to it that I should have. Also began a gambling habit.

Should have submitted my request to enter the 4-year college a year before I was going to go so I could have been given a dorm room I could keep year round.

Going forward, I would like to witness the heat death of the universe (or however it actually ends up)
We know that is a foregone conclusion. Sun will outburn its gases, go into a Red Dwarf, which will vaporize Earth, and the Entire Solar System.
Not sure how you would witness that, being you will be incinerated?

I do believe he was speaking of entropy, not the end of our solar system - few billion years of difference there.
