Can't be. I think that's what the first guy wanted. I recall it was $50/SF. For pavers!

Flange is a baller. Contractors see him coming a mile away. Easy money.

Actually the first guy wanted to do two rectangular pads, 18x20 feet each and a walk way between them, 26k.
New guy is doing two pads, 18x20 each, firepit, radius sitting wall, concrete driveway, concrete sidewalk, and two concrete blocks out by the street 5x5 each for slightly more.

Few could. it isn't cheap and we have police officers who enforce laws, but it is nice.

Do they hire retired cops over 90? I'm getting a little bored after being retired for 25 years.

If you are in favor of the summary execution of kids on dirt bikes on the streets, you're hired.

Flange. I wish you well with your upcoming project. I hope you get the right "guy". I once hired a new guy in town who, with his younger brother, was starting an excavation business and was looking for work. I called him, and he came out to give me an estimate. We settled on an amount, and he asked for $100 for "fuel' up front, said he was pretty tight for money. I gave him the $100, and he said he'd be there first thing Monday morning. Well, he didn't say WHICH Monday, 'cause it has been seven years and he hasn't showed up yet. I reckon he must have gone back to California with my $100.
