Default Comfortable sleeper sofa?

Does anyone have one that doesn't suck to sleep on? We have a 3 bedroom home and my mother will be staying with us and using our bedroom. An air mattress just isnt going to work after one night of misery on that thing.

I'd take an air mattress over a sleeper sofa anyday, air mattresses have come a long way.

I tend to refer to sleeper couches as "racks" FWIW I find that a Lazy boy recliner can be comfortable if a legitimate bed is not around. My buddies wife has sleep on one for over 10 years. and loves hers.

Comfortable and sleeper sofa are mutually exclusive.

In vacation rentals or when space is somewhat limited I've had Murphy beds installed. There are some nice designs available and way more comfortable for guests.

We have a full size futon that uses an innerspring type of cushion/mattress, not just a fluff filled type of thing. It folds out to a bed size and has a filler cushion to extend to the "bed" length. Sleeps just like a normal innerspring bed and when folded up, a couch.

We bought a King Hickory sectional with a queen sleeper that has an air mattress and everyone that stays on it says it's great.....very good quality furniture.....best price was at Harry Loory in Dover NJ and they had free delivery and setup over 100 miles away

We bought one at Ashley Furniture and then upgraded to a Tempurpedic mattress . . . .not something I want to live on forever, but tolerable for a few days and works perfectly for the grandkids in my home office.

A regular sofa that is long enough to stretch out on is usually a lot more comfortable than a sleeper sofa, albeit only for one person. The other reason why I would never buy a sleeper sofa (again) is how much they weigh, when it comes time to move it. Not to mention preventing the mechanism from unfolding if you have to tip the sofa to move it around a corner, or work it up or down a flight of stairs.....

Besides being uncomfortable as beds, they're also not that comfortable as sofas (which is how they will be used 99% of the time).

You can get those larger double-bed size air mattresses, that come with their own pump, for not that much, if you need to accommodate more than one person.

Beyond that, pay for the guests hotel room!

With a sleeper sofa it is better to just pull the mattress off and put it on the floor.
