Default Hershey Park

Going to Hershey Park for the first time next Thursday. Any suggestions on what to do or what to avoid? Not taking the grandkids. Going to Carlisle for the Chevy Nationals Friday and Saturday. Thanks.

It’s like any other amusement park. Expect long lines and being hot and miserable

Check out the Antique American Car Club of America Museum while you are there - it is really cool!

I live an hour from there, been there dozens of times over the years. As far as amusement parks go itís the nicest one Iíve been to, aside from Disney. Around here you have Hershey, Dorney Park and Great Adventure (NJ). Hershey is the only one of those three Iíll take my kids to. Hershey is a beautiful town, park is very clean and well run. The other two get much lower class crowds, main reason I avoid them. Plenty of good rides and nice water park at Hershey. If youíre into amusement parks youíll enjoy it Iím sure.

Went to Hershey Park for our Senior Trip in 1959 and a few times afterward. Great place.

The park is good. Went on the Hershey tour which was fine. Also had tastings and had an event where you made your own chocolate bar. THE BEST THING wasn't in the actual park but was a restaurant named:

The Hershey Pantry

www.hersheypantry.com
801 E Chocolate Ave, Hershey, PA 17033
(717) 533-7505

We only ate breakfasts there...... prices were decent, portions huge and the service great! If you have breakfast, order one cinnamon roll with crŤme cheese icing. One will share with 3 or 4 people and they're great! I'm sure lunch or dinner would have the same results.

Have fun,

I don't know if they still have the stands or not but back in the day they used to have milkshake stands that made milkshakes with Ben and Jerry's ice cream. They were worth the trip to Hershey just for that. If you see one, definitely get a shake. I've been there when you can find them and times you can't.

I would agree with the above, it's a very nice park and I think you'll have a great time.

There is a Fuddruckers in town. It's an awesome burger place. Very family oriented. Go there.

We've been many times but not since my kids have grown...... While you're there you may want to take the shuttle up to the Hershey Hotel on the top of the hill. Take a walk through the lobby and check it out (nice place to eat in there, forgot the name) but not talking about the main dining room., Also, check out the Hotel's grounds as well. When you get to Carlisle...., be sure to get a Steak and Cheese sub at Vinny's on South Hanover St.. Hope you have good weather...., always rain up that way.
