After a couple days he took what water he had left and set off for help. I think he sat down next to a tree to rest, and put the last entry in the journal..long since out of water he succumbed to exhaustion and dehydration. The only people who were aware of his presence i recall were a couple forum members...when he didnt check in they began investigating. They contacted his family and local police..it took time but they did find him. There was a big blow up on the forum when admin reset his password and accessed private messages in hopes of finding a clue to his whereabouts. It was a tense few days of prayer, heartbreaking when they announced he had been found...
Thanks, I remember following that when it was happening.

It should. You conversed quite a bit with him in the barn before he died.

Ya, but the question is how. A freak ironing board accident? Grease fire in the kitchen? Smothered by a load of laundry?

DocBrock is still around. Just had a kid about a year ago. MajZ06 still checks in from time to time, but he's now LTCZ06. Actually, Troy posted a few months back, but haven't seen him since.

Can you please share that this is confirmed how he died?
I know that he was an underwater deep sea diver (welder) on offshore platforms.
But apparently he retired from that line of work and enjoyed his lake bass boating in California, jeeping, and worked in medical industry with prosthetic joints etc.

I miss that guy. And never had any answers.

There have been a number of members that have passed away over the years. A visit to the In Memoriam section is a vivid reminder of how fragile life is and how one’s time can be up at any moment.

A relative of his came on another forum under his account and said it was a diving accident. I don't recall him saying it was work related.

I seem to recall reading it was attributable to his job. Not while doing it, but doing it caused him medical problems. But don't quote me on that though... Or much of anything else these days

Pete did not die of a diving accident. I got to know Pete pretty well. Following his death, I was contacted by a relative. Suffice to say, it was no accident. Iíll leave it at that.
