Two dogs and a cat die and go to heaven.

They are brought before God, who interviews them to determine their fate. He asks the first dog, "What did you do when you were alive on earth?"

The first dog answers, "For 15 years I was a guide dog for a blind person. I was killed protecting them from being hit by a taxi."

"Very good," says God. "You will sit at my left side."

God turns his attention to the second dog and asks, "What did you do when you were alive on earth?"

The second dog responds, "I was a police dog for 12 years. I was shot and killed trying to subdue an armed bank robber."

God smiles and nods. "Very good. You will sit at my right side."

God now looks at the cat and begins to ask, "What did you --"

The cat interrupts, "You're in my chair."

Given the choice of letting my cat be eaten by a coyote or having you come visit me, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to live without you darkening my doorstep.

I agree. My little buddy was eaten by a coyote just last week. I am still shook up. I loved him but had no idea how hard losing him was going to hit me. He was an outdoor cat when we rescued him so we let him come and go as he pleased through a cat door. He was with me constantly. Almost like a dog. Anyway, if I ever do get another cat, it will be kept indoors because I can't go through this again.

I have barn cats. They simply seem to move in. As long as they stay in one of the barns or in the fields hunting mice, I have no issues with them. My wife keeps them fed and makes sure they have water. Since my dog seems to tolerate them, I don't think they need to worry about coyotes. No coyote in the world wants to mess with my dog.

TONY: Sorry to hear about your cat. I keep waiting for that to happen, lucked out so far. My two are littermates and do not know life without each other. Whoever goes first, the one left will not be happy.

My cats' DOB: January 2005, brother (with white) and sister. They go in and out at their leisure, no litterbox. I live in the woods and really need them, the mice are endless but they keep the population down to a dull roar. They vet is amazed that they are 14 and are outdoor cats. I'm amazed too.

The Vet Med school saved our dog's life one night when she ate some D-Con rat poison. They put this little dot thing into her eye which made her puke all the poison out. She lived another 8 years after that night. Thank you UIUC Vet Med!!

We are feeding the neighbors cats for a few days while they are on a small vacation. They have 7 cats! I like cats and had them as a kid but my parents had 2 only. 7 is crazy.
