Default What to do in Nashville, TN?

Headed there next month w/my lady. Neither of us have been there before. We are staying within walking distance of Broadway.

What are the must see/do things and places? Also, where is the good food?

Tootsies & the stage are usually good spots. You can pretty much just walk down the strip and see what places look / sound good. Etch is a good restaurant. The Parthenon was interesting. The Lane motor museum was cool. Hattie B’s hot chicken is good.

I highly recommend Belle Meade Plantation. Wife and I visited last July and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Grand Ole Opry tour was well worth the time too.

If you like dinner theaters, check out Chaffin's Barn.

Attending the Grand Ole Opry is a good time.

Plenty of nightspots on Broadway to keep you entertained into the wee hours of the morning.

I agree these are good ideas, but hit 400* Hot Chicken instead of Hattie B's if you want the best with no lines.

Also, go to Cheekwood for a nice walk in the gardens as well as a walk in Percy Warner Park or Radnor Lake for beautiful scenery.

Nashville is a cool town, so is Chattanooga. Knoxville is a cesspool though, the whole town smells like **** and everybody there chews tobacco and rapes farm animals.
Other than Knoxville, Tennessee is my 4th fav state...behind SC, Ga and Bama.

I can't believe no one has suggested touring a whiskey distillery.

if you have never been, broadway for an afternoon into evening. every bar has music all day on every floor seemingly. while they may appear to be club bands, many of the performers are of a level of being ready to be breakout stars. I was there recently, and the dude from florida Georgia line was playing drums upstairs at tootsies.
there was a girl name lenzie wittingham playing with a band at kid rocks. she was very easy on the eyes and a great performer. she has some videos on youtube.

all in all, just cruise around and enjoy the scene. yes, they also have restaurants. we had a good brunch at the pub right in town. its an irish theme place that served us well.

I didn't realize Butch was back

If you want just very good food at a good price try Demos'. Sometimes the line is long, though.

Also Bluebird Cafe, it's not downtown but you never know who will show up to take the stage.

Somebody else mentioned Cheekwood which is well worth seeing.

East of town is The Hermitage…..Andrew Jacksons place. I enjoyed the tour but it wouldn't be as fun if you're not into history.
