Default Holes in Ceiling Any Thoughts?

My wife and I just happened to notice these pop up on our ceiling. Unfortunately it's an 18 foot ceiling so no easy way to gain access. Any idea WTF this is? The first one popped up by the fan and the second one just showed up to the right of the fan in the photos. There's no attic access over that area and there's no way I have a ladder or anything tall enough to get up there. House built in 2005 original roof. I tried to camera zoom in it looks like they used nails rather than screws and that's what it is that's showing but I cannot tell for sure. Who would I contact to look at that?

Anyone that does house construction, general contractor, or anyone good with home stuff I'm not too sure what to make of this but I'm assuming it's not going to be good given it's a 2005 built house...

Thanks for the info.

Do you remember the movie Alien where the creature's blood ate through several decks of the ship?

The same thing happens when Knooger ***** on your roof...

Hard to tell if they're nail pops or not.

A GC or drywall installer will have the necessary equipment to inspect and repair.

Can you tell how far out from the ceiling they're pushing?

cheap nails either rusted and broke, or just popped. A drywaller or handyman with proper elevation adjusting equipment can get up there, remove and replace, spackle and paint. if you are near Maryland, that mchar dude is the best, and would likely do it for free if you are a millionaire or more, just to be near you.

Probably just a screw pop, can’t imagine any drywall guy in the last 20 years would use nails on the ceiling. Stop looking at used Rolls and get your ladder out and spackel the thing already....

Or this. Surprised that there is not a tape line opening up too.
Heat & cool cycles between the seasons causing nail/screw pop. Very common, bitch to get to way up there.

Anyone know where I can find a pic of a cat looking down from a hole in the ceiling?
