That pulley they showed 3 times is quite a wobbler. Looks like the water pump. Old guy is going to get stranded soon.

I like his attitude! As long as my '78 starts and drives I have no inclination to have it restored.

I can definitely relate to that guy, as I bought my '59 in 1981, when the car was 22 years old, and I was 25. So we've been "together" for 38 years, so to speak. My avatar photo is from 1981, but the car looks basically the same today.

Mine is a bit nicer cosmetically, I suppose, but it's also unrestored, and while it looks good in photos and from 30-40 feet away, it really needs "everything" to make it look better (paint, new interior, etc.) But it runs pretty good, and sounds great, so any real restoration efforts are going to wait until I retire.... (It's a 245-hp, 2x4 carbs car, with two tops).

Great attitude and seems like he really enjoys his car. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Very cool, I love to see these cars actually being used as they were intended, not sitting covered up in some garage.

He does indeed get it. Very The vice grips at the end reminded me that my first car, a '60 Vette, sported a pair of those serving as a window crank when I got it. Hadn't thought of that for more years than I care to even talk about.

You are exactly who I thought of while watching the OP video. And I was hoping you'd post. Respect for the both of you.
