Wait for a cop to get behind you then floor it to about 100mph, see if there is no speed limit.
Maybe because you were drafting him. How close were you to him? 30hp for removing an air filter? Dynoed?
One day I was following him, he said he had it floored, and he couldn't pul away, and I barely pulled closer (only Vararam and Borla at the time - he removed a carbon filter in his air system [30hp gain]).

i have an E55 AMG, and personally, i think it could EASILY outperform a stock C5 vette. the handling and acceleration are identical, braking wise though, the E55 is hands down better...
Fast forward to todays market and technology, i would acutally take that CLS63 over a C6. its basically as fast as a vette, can take 5 people comfortably, and is much more rare then a C6. something about the AMG's that make me choose them...can't describe it...

J/K....but, IMO the 1st generation E55 wouldn't beat a C5 (provided it had the performance axle).
Unrelated Stats
Since you've already got a stupid-fast bike and a stupid-fast C5, you should just cruise the miles away in the AMG mobile anyway.
Did you get the monster back together? My Z is coming in this week. We'll have to get together.

Chris, i dunno man... a stock C5 (non Z06) is def up to to par with the benz... i can def feel awesome handling and DEFINITLY better braking. the rotors in the benz are 13.8" if i recall, compared to the 13.2" of the vette. but anyways, ur right..keep it for cruising.
did u get a C6Z??? def let me know when u want to hit up Porky's or something!! my car is ata rippies shop. gettin the tranny refreshed so its going to be about 2 weeks.

Yep, sold the C5 and have a C6Z coming in any day. We'll definately have to hook up - after I get some miles on her

IMO the vette will take it straight line; however the MB starts to hit higher speeds that's a different story. The quality of MB has not been declining every since they join with Diamlier/Chrysler. My dad has bought nothing but MB since the late 70's to early 90's those vehicle are built like tanks specially the diesel. It seems that the quality is not the same since an increase in production and merge.

Incorrect. According to CR, not one MB vehicle has a better than "much worse than average" reliability rating for 2006. In fact, most have this rating or "worse than average" rating for the last 5 years. They are among, if not THE least-reliable vehicles in the the US.
