Is this BS or true?

SO is the 496 RWHP BS or not? Is it possible?
I feel doubtful as the one of the best Z06's pulled 471RWHP (Ticketbait) and is still lighter than an SLK350.
So would that mean his 0-60 time is under 3.5 and is pulling an 11 second 1/4 mile?
I hate fish. I smell fish.
What gives?
Need more to participate in the race!!!!!1

And think about it, you have almost double the displacement that he has, what would you have to do to get to 600hp? His would have to sound like an honest-to-God race car. And wouldn't be street legal.

"KLEEMANN presents yet another high-performance car without comparison. Based on the new SLK 55 AMG from Mercedes-Benz, KLEEMANN produces a power output of 596 Hp and 770 Nm with a KLEEMANN Kompressor System and a Stage 8 engine upgrade. The KLEEMANN SLK 55K S8 has an electronic speed limit of 300 km/h and hits 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds." google search

sounds like this guy has beat you even without racing you, just look at how wound up you've gotten. don't worry about it, people are gonna say all sorts of things, just because you've got a vette, heck i even had a guy claim is wrx sti would beat mine, i told him ok, no problem, i don't mind we can run if you want but we never did.
always assume the worst, when going up against someone else.
before going off the deep end, find out what the power to weight ratio is (use his 'quoted' hp/trq numbers). what type of gearing etc. give him his props, let him feel good about his ride, he obviously feels inferior, and he might just slip up and get embarrassed.

So Lex find out what transmission he has in his car. Then find out if it has a V8 or a V6. He must tell you at least that.

Just Bet him a decent dinner, at a nice place(drinks included) and run him yourself! Be done with it. dont wait for someone else to do it for you! I believe you would take him /shut him up. but if not, it wont cost you a fortune. Then let us know!

On a R171 SLK350...it's ridculously BS!!! But, as I stated on my previous post, on a SLK55 AMG Kleemanized S7 rated at 489rwhp (590BHP)...it's very close to his claim of 496rwhp. Best to make certain your not up against an S7 or S8 (S7+cam)...the underhood hardware will tell the story!
Here's an S7 dyno on Ca. pump gas:
BTW: I was at Andy's BBQ last year too.
I frequent the local MB GTGs and know of a few friends with the Kleemann system on their rides...I've never come across a 350 V6 with that much HP.

You guys are right about an SLK350. Some firm just came out with a blower for it but it's pretty pricey & rated at 380 Hp (not rwhp). So, unless he's got an SLK55 modded to an S8 stage - he's got a snowball's chance in hell of posting anything north of ~ 340 rwhp.
See ya,

LOL it seems like people don't know much about SLK350/SLK55 here. A 350 with 490whp?! Let me set the record straight real quick:
SLK350: Has V6 engine, 270bhp stock, can be supercharged up to 370-380bhp. Stock it runs high 13's, and probably low 13's, high 12's with a blower.
SLK55 AMG: Has V8 engine, 355bhp/375lb-ft stock, can be supercharged to almost 580-590bhp. Stock it runs ~12.7 in the 1/4 (it actually ran 12.2 bone stock on drag radials). With a blower, we only have 1 documented pass at 11.7 @ ~120, but it can probably run mid 11's.
As far as weight, SLK55 weighs around 3,400lbs.
